OUR STORY
Sheressence Natural Products is a home-based online store that offers 100% natural and organic feminine hygiene and sanitary products. We offer a wide selection of products such as: sanitary pads, panty liners, tampons, feminine wash, menstrual cups, wipes, yoni steams and much more.
Founded in 2019 on the island of Tobago, what started off as a hobby selling only feminine washes, quickly blossomed into a rapidly growing business serving customers on both islands of Trinidad and Tobago. The birth of our company arose from the lack of high quality period products on the islands and the complaints from women about the struggles faced when using the conventional pads and tampons. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the conventional brands of products were like a "chemical soup", and were one source for some of the issues women were faced with during their menstrual cycle. For most women, organic pads and tampons were unheard of.
With the innovative mind of our CEO, we decided to take the opportunity to solve a grave problem by providing healthier, natural and safer period products. Currently, we sell more than 5 different brands of organic sanitary and hygiene products. We have since expanded and are pleased to offer organic products for your skin, hair and body.

1. Organic pads and tampons are better for your body.
Ever been uncomfortable during your period? Do you suffer from itchiness and redness when using conventional pads and tampons? It turns out there may be a reason for that. Conventional pads and tampons are filled with toxic chemicals, such as dioxins, which are a by-product of the chlorine-bleaching process used to make cotton and wood pulp look clean and white. These are also known to cause cancer.
2. Organic period products are better for the environment.
Conventional pads and tampons can contain as much plastic as four plastic bags! Plastic takes up to 500 years to decompose in a landfill, while organic cotton pads take about 2 to 3 years to decompose. Organic period products are made with ORGANIC cotton. This means that the cotton used to make pads and tampons was not heavily sprayed with pesticides and herbicides. Pesticides sprayed on cotton can sometimes leak into waterways and destroys soil life. Organic cotton also requires takes up less water and energy to grow, reducing the resources used to make organic personal care products.
3. Organic period products do not have to be costly.
Yes, we know when you hear the word "organic", you automatically tend to think it is costly. While most brands of organic pads and tampons tend to be a little more costly, switching to organic and eco-friendly period products do not have to cost a lot. You can save tons of money by switching to reusable period products such as menstrual cups and reusable cloth pads. Once menstrual cup can last up to 10 years with proper maintenance! Thus, eliminating the need for pads and tampons which saves you money to buy other products at our store!

Conventional pads and tampons can sometimes leave uncomfortable symptoms: itchiness, redness, irritation and excessive cramping. These can be a result of the synthetic and plastic-like material of the products. These issues can be eliminated when you switch to organic products. Some persons even admit to having lighter flows and less cramping!
